Super slimmer Laura celebrates her new-look life

Cowdenbeath beautician Laura Muirhead has been celebrating her new life as one of the country's top slimmers, having lost five stones and changed her life with a new diet and exercise reigime.

Laura (28) has transformed herself with a diet and exercise system that has seen her drop from a size 16 to a size six.

She has also won a national body competition, having been announced recently as the Motivate category winner of the UK Maxitone Body of 2009, run by sports nutrition company Maximuscle.

Cullaloe View

Last night our street was again flooded, this time there were at least 12 houses involved, I have been keeping an eye on some of the work being done by the Parks Dept, and non of this has helped the situation.

Last Friday I went to see what they were doing, and get an idea as to what they had done, at this point they showed me a manhole they had water trickling through, I showed them a further manhole which they had trouble opening, this was blocked.

I asked to see the plans of the drain system, they did not have these plans and unsure as to where the drains went, I left with the understanding they would get Scottish Water to attend to this, last night I was informed that Scottish Water did not come, and last night we had word that they were not able to attend but did appear at 2200 Hrs.

This was the first time I have seen the plans for the drainage, the parks department do not know where the culvert goes under the railway, but it is shown clear on the maps on the lap top the men from Scottish Water had last night, do they not talk to each other?

We had two Fire units pumping water over the railway, as I have indicated there is a serious problem with the drainage in this area and this could only be on the other side of the railway, as I have taken pictures of the water on that side which is not being allowed to drain away.

At least four of these houses are still Council tenants, they have had nothing done to their houses since the November flood. Last night was more severe than the November Flood. We are tryito arrange a meeting with Network Rail who seem to be showing an interest Via David Boyce, Fife Council Parks Department, and Scottish Water, we have three local Councilors who have shown no interest in this problem.

We have been in rented property since November and at this rate we will be lucky to be in by November this year, the water is contaminated (mixed with the sewage water), just think of the unlucky Council Tenants who have had nothing done to their Houses since the November flood.
