Police take action after speeding concerns from Cowdenbeath residents
3 MarchWe spoke out about speeding - and now police say they're going to do something about it.
Complaints by Cowdenbeath residents at the new Community Engagement Model meetings have led to a number of streets being targeted for a crack-down on fast drivers.
Chief Inspector Bennet said: " In February, residents in Cowdenbeath, Crossgates and Benarty raised speeding amongst other issues. My staff were consequently deployed to meet these concerns. I would stress that we will continue to focus upon driver behaviour from a preventative perspective as road safety is extremely important to me".
There will be more community engagement meetings, so we can continue to have our say about local policing. The local community team can be contacted on 0845 600 5702 or visit the Cowdenbeath Police Community Engagement website.
