Police appeal after second tragedy on Cowdenbeath road
22 FebruaryA mother-of-two has died from injuries sustained in a road accident near Mossmorran just outside Cowdenbeath – the second fatality on the stretch of road already this year..
Fiona Miller (36), from Crossgates, is the second person to have lost her life on the A909 since the start of the year.
She leaves two children, including a four-year-old daughter who was in the car with her but was not injured in the accident.
Mrs Miller died in hospital four days after having been airlifted to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after her people carrier collided with an articulated lorry on Saturday 4th February.
An air ambulance, a rapid response crew, two ambulances and two fire engines attended the accident, which happened at around 11.30am. Police have appealed for witnesses.
Mossmorran worker Andrew Dobie (64), of Kirkcaldy, was also killed on the same piece of road last month.
