Leuchatsbeath Community Park Improvements

by lb group

'Project 2012' will see just over £50,000 be spent on the community park on the north border of the town.

Amongst the plans are :

  • New Children's play area
  • Decking over pond
  • Improved landscaping
  • Better accessibility (Parking)
  • Signs

The funding will be provided by economyhome.co.uk and it is hoped the work will start late next year.

Where is "Leuchatsbeath Community Park"?

I have lived just off Leuchatsbeath Drive for 42 years; and I have never heard previously of such a park.

Are there any plans available, illustrating its location and of the various proposals?

I thought it might be what I know as the public park?  but purely a guess would love to know more if anyone has any information

Hi Alex, Leuchatsbeath Community Woodland (as its currently known even though there isn't much of a woodland) is located at the northern tip of Cowdenbeath.

It can be accessed either through the lane at Netherton Road or at the layby on the road to Kelty from Glenfield Industrial Estate.

The park is still being worked on and because of its location, which is right next to a working building site, there will be paths closed until the houses are finished. The pond which we will be adding the balcony is not yet finished.

We will be releasing plans on our website www.economyhome.co.uk within the next 2 months after working with Fife Council.
