Cowdenbeath Mechanic is Tae kwon do student of the year!
Cowdenbeath mechanic Bryan Jeffrey (24) has been named Lochgelly Tae kwon do “Student of the year” for 2011. Bryan, who recently graded up to his blue belt, has been training with the vibrant martial art school since February 2010 has consistently put in lots of hard work and practice, been a willing helper and is always eager to take part in seminars, competitions or other activities.
His instructor Robert MacGregor (4th dan) said “Bryan has been a first class example of what an instructor looks for in a student, and the award is well deserved.”
Other awards were as follows:
- “Most improved student 2011” was Tamlyn Smith (13) from Lochgelly, who has overcome an initial lack of confidence to become an excellent student.
- Lochgelly TKD “Little Ninja of the year” 2011 was presented to 7 year old Brendan McGuinness from Cardenden.
Lochgelly TKD train on Tuesdays 6-7pm Little Ninjas (4 to 7 year olds) and 7-8pm (main class) and
Thursdays 7-8pm (main class) at the Lochgelly Town Hall.
