David Rodger, 44, from Cowdebeath died after falling from the Tay Rail Bridge
A man who died in a fall while working on the Tay Rail Bridge has been named as a 44-year-old from Cowdenbeath.
David Rodger of Gateside Court died when he fell from a ladder on the Tay Rail Bridge. He is survived by wife Patricia and two children, Claire and Lee.
He was a painter who worked for contractors ThyssenKrupp Palmers on behalf of Network Rail.
David Simpson, Network Rail route director for Scotland, said: "These tragic events have deeply shocked and saddened everyone linked to these projects. Our thoughts today are with the family, friends and co-workers of these two men."
A probe into the incident is under way.
