Cowdenbeath come from behind to sting Thistle

  • John Armstrong scored Cowdenbeath's winner over Partick Thistle at Central Park

Cowdenbeath sprung a surprise as they came from a goal down to beat Partick Thistle 2-1 in an impressive performance at Central Park.

Goals from Brian Fairbairn and John Armstrong were enough, along with some great goalkeeping from David Hay, to give Cowdenbeath all three points - and their second win from four league games.

There's no match for Cowdenbeath this weekend due to the international fixtures - but they will be back in league action on Saturday 11th September, when they travel to face Morton at Cappielow - kick off at 3pm.
