4/6/2009Countdown on to start of Cowdenbeath Civic Week
It's just over a week till the start of Cowdenbeath Civic Week, which gets under way on Sunday 14th June, with events right through to the Gala Day and Parade on Saturday 20th.
On Tuesday night (16th June) we have a free water disco in the Leisure Centre for primary school children - under 8's have to be accompanied by an adult. There's also also a skateboard competition at the Leisure Centre from 6pm.
On the Wednesday night we are holding a 'Wii Nite Oot' hopefully with teams of four taking part. the Wii is a 'ten pin bowling night' with a cash prize for the winning team. The venue being the Broad Street Bowling Club 7.30pm.
Thursday night sees a children's fun pet show taking place at the Broad Street Centre. 6.30pm - admission 20p.
The final of the Bowling Competition takes place on Thursday as well at Broad street Bowling Club.
And finally, following the Gala Parade there's an afternoon of fun on Saturday 20th June, at the lower part of Beath High School playing fields,from 2.00pm onwards.
