Beath High pupil Dean races to British Kart title
12 September, 2012Beath High pupil Dean Macdonald has won the British Cadet Championship – emulating fellow Scot Paul Di Resta, current F1 driver by winning the title.
Dean (11) drove a very tactical race knowing that he had to finish each heat and final to secure the title, although knoched off a few times Dean bounced back to finish second in the final to clinch the Championship.
Other drivers to have won this award include Jensen Button and Lewis Hamilton, and spectators on the day included Antony Hamilton and Nicholas Hamilton who support the FKS Championship.
Dean will collect his spoils at a star studded Fourmula 1 Dinner in Londons Grovenor Hotel in December, and returned to school on Monday as champion!
